Our Story: A Legacy of Excellence in Window Fashions.
The story of Suttle Shades began in 1984 when founder Tony Suttle started his career at Paramount Blinds and Awnings, gaining invaluable experience and building trusted relationships with Australia’s top suppliers. When Paramount was later acquired by Luxaflex®, Tony’s partnership with the brand flourished, inspiring him to establish Suttle Shades in 1997 in the northern suburbs of Wollongong.
Together with his wife Rose, Tony built Suttle Shades into a trusted name across the Illawarra — from Helensburgh to Shellharbour — known for premium Luxaflex® blinds, shutters, and awnings, exceptional craftsmanship, and genuine customer care.
In 2025, the business entered a new chapter under Michael and Bene Warren, who now proudly carry forward Tony and Rose’s legacy. With the same attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to service, they continue to uphold Suttle Shades’ reputation as Wollongong’s premier Luxaflex® retailer.

We were never going to have the Suttle Shades name associated with sub-par or inferior products, so we ensure that as a business we only work exclusively with Luxaflex® and supply our clients with only the best products available.
